Hi guys i been reading and trying to understand how all the antenna/cable/sat stuff works. I have one cable input on my Travel trailer. I'm trying to setup a way where i can utilize the batwing antenna, the cable, and have it ready for future upgrade to sat tv also.

I attached a picture, can someone please tell me if this will work? I realize that only tv 1 will have the sat available to it, but that is all i need.

Here it is.

The only other question I have is, do the high isolation a/b switches allow the dc to pass through for the lnb to work? Edit: the reason i ask is if this is possible then i could just run an a/b switch 1 side has the outside coaxial connector that i can either plug sat or cable into and it goes to the a/b switch then goes directly to a sat capable splitter for two tv's or i can hit the switch and go to antenna? Alittle more simple but not sure if it would work?

Thanks

Paul

paedbo,

Your picture failed because you use a URL to a page that contains a picture instead of a URL to the picture.

On the left side of that page there are four forms of the URL for the picture. Use the bottom one, IMG Code. Copy it, and paste it directly into your post. This is what you would get.

ahhhh thank you very much! Actually i had tried that before but I used the image link on this forum then when i went to paste it didnt realize it was doing the img tags twice since photobucket already supplies it in the link.

I just went from the antenna amplifier to the input on the DTV, then from the DTV back to the splitter.
Works fine for me.
Best

If you want to use the forum's Image tool, then use photobucket's Direct link.
