Hello all. I am the owner of a 2003 2505 QSS with the rear slide. Last year we had an issue where the top tracks on the slide became detached from the ceiling. We returned it to the dealer not once but twice and this will be the third time (following this last trip) that the same problem has happened. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what was the fix?
Thanks.

Call or email K-Z. The guy to speak to is Dan Krider. Great guy and will be able to work with your dealer for a solid resolution

Ask KZ to send you the small support to place under the slide for traveling. The top slide tracks are really only supposed to be there for guiding the slide in, but large bumps can put enough force on them to cause the few screws to pop out. Many of us have had the problem, but I think some dealers don't know how to fix it properly (mine just put on a couple of washers--if I weren't using the support it would happen again to me).
The support that I use (not the one KZ sends out, but similar) doubles as a barrier to keep our stuff (folding chairs, generator, etc) from sliding around on the floor under the slide.
Good luck!

Wow. Thanks for the quick responses. I'll do both (call Dan Krider and see about getting the travel support).
Can you send a photo of the support you are using? Send to vjstangelo@yahoo.com.

KZ has been known to send out the slide support to those who request it. I've heard different stories about the rear slide and what it can and can't support for weight and when it can and can't be used. I would get the support just to be on the safe side. Or you can buy a jack stand from your local automotive store and use that too. Check out the Goin' KZ link in my signature to read about the same problem other KZ owners have experienced.

Here's a support that was suggested and tested by a forum member over at GoinKZ (I bought his extra stand):

The day we brought ours home DH grabbed a 2 X 4 and used it for a wedge,we have used that from day one. I just put a pot holder under it. You really don't need anything fancy. People make this way to complicated. I can run out and give you the exact length it was cut if you like before it goes to it's new home. We have never had any problems with the track.
