Just picked up our new Fifth Wheel we paid cash for it can I still write it off on my taxes? My old camper was financed so I could write off the interest for the year.

What is there to write off, you paid no interest on it and that is the only thing that is deductable.

If it is part of your business you can depreciate it but that is about it if you paid cash.

Yes, you can "write it off" on your taxes as a casualty loss, since you will get practically nothing for it if you try to sell it.

Check with your local qualified tax advisor to determine the specific amount in your individual case.
