He Ruide,

Just got off your blog, and yes, we will think of you while we're camping, with a prayer at every campfire until your complete recovery.

Ruide, thanks for taking the time for blogging your experience.

Since you were brave enough to share, let me tell you how you inspired me yet again. The day you posted about your treatment, I had been in a tremendous funk after coming from my Dr's office and him giving the riot act on my high (2x higher) bad cholestrol. Told me to go on a low fat diet immediately and foodie that I am, was horrified! lol

I had been having strange pains in my knee and after his examination was told that my thigh muscles were unbalanced. What the ???? Because one was stronger than the other, it was making my knee cap go sideways instead of up and down. Go figure that one out! I have to say that I felt like an old woman. Yes, an old woman that has to do a gazillion leg lifts to fix the imbalance.

I have also suffered through bouts of despression for many years, especially the two years since my divorce. I have been on and off Prozac for a awhile and at the same Dr's visit, he doubled my dosage as things weren't progressing as fast as we both thought it should.

So, after reading your post and doing some internet searches, I really felt like a twit for being upset over a low fat diet, leg lifts and a higher dose of medication that will make me feel better and improve my health in many ways...especially that I could stand to lose 40 lbs anyway!

I've always believed that God sends Angels with messages and you were my Angel that day that I should appreciate my life more. So many thanks for your bravery.

You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers every day.

When we get back from our trip, let me know if you and/or your family need any goodies or errands done in the Houston area. I'd be happy to help in any way! Yes, I will even clean up my garage so you can come over and have your way with my PUP!

It is good to realize that if love and peace can prevail on earth, and if we can teach our children to honor nature's gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be here forever.

Ruide: You have truely been a inspiration to many of us here on the folding trailer forums. You have taken popup mods to a new level with your photos and detailed documentation. Although most of us only know you through these confounded computers and our brief comments - but we are deeply saddened by the news of your illness. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We wish you the best and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Ruide,

I too was deeply troubled to hear of your illness. You offer so much to this forum while asking for nothing in return. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.

Folks, Thank you very much but you are killing me ( I shouldn't say that)... but you are going to make me cry with your kind words.

Funfoodie, I'm glad that my saga has been helpful to you. Even I have to constantly put things in perspective. Just today, my DW met a nurse whose 40 year old husband died because his lymphoma was miss diagnosed.

So I'll think of you doing your gazillion leg lifts when I'm doing just 100 reps per day with my incentive spirometer.

I'd get dizzy breathing into that thing that much! My grandma had one of those after her stroke I think.

We can do 'em together! I have that exact model sitting beside me on my computer desk as I type this.
