i am having a steel plate on disc c4567. Has anyone had this done? Is it a long recovery? Keep me in your prayers. I had a level 2 back fusion on my back in 2006 and it has not been successful at all.
thanks

Wow - a lot of fusion. Prayer for the best possible outcome. Had a friend with I think a 1 level cervical fusion. She was in a brace for a month, but has done pretty well since the surgery and recovery.

I had 3 fusions on my neck, wore the brace for a month after each. The worst part was where they removed donor bone for grafting from my hipbones. So much screaming pain. Our bedroom was upstairs, DH had to carry me. I have no pain anymore, but I can't fold sheets (you know how you secure the fold under your chin...?)
