I've been buying stuff from them since 1971 and never had a problem. In fact they just mailed me a new catalog a few months ago.

In addition, many of us on this forum do have business licenses and are registered with Grainger. Our local store in Ft. Myers will only sell to licensed businesses and we must have a current copy of our resale license on file.

Nice to hear that other stores are different.

I doubt if Grainger even knows they are advertising here. They are Google ads, pop up because of the subject snd content of threads or the website.

I got a personal connection at Grainger. My daughter works there as a buyer.

But for the few tools and things I buy. I have never used her to get anything.

It is pretty easy to open an account at Grainger. Any business owner can do so.

Can't argue with that logic, but what percentage of the public are business owners? Pretty small I'd bet.

When I lived in Asheville, North Carolina, I purchased numerous items from Grainger.

I'm pretty sure that most of the ads here are contracted with Google. Google has a contract with the forum. I don't think that the advertisers actually select where their ads are placed. Google uses forum content to select ads that might appeal to the viewers.
