Well today i finally sold my Fleetwood Sun Valley Pop. I been camping for around 40 years maybe few years break here and there. I had tent and moved to Popup around the 80s. with 4 boys and wife. We had loads memories. When they were too old to go w/mom and dad it was just me and wife.We loved camping. In late 90s we had TT but was very confining after couple years we sold and went back to our love of the POP. Well now at 66 yrs age its a little harder to do the POP so we wanted something that would still make us feel like we are still outside and yet some more comfort. So in June after looking for a year we chose the Roo23ss,Some of you hear know how many questions we asked about the Hybrid.Well we supposed to receive the roo in few weeks and i have been buying and doing things to get ready for the change over. I placed the ad last week in the papers and young couple w/2 kids and one on the way took look and loved it .I kept it for a little over a year and it was mint, they never haggled over the price and i gave them about $300 worth extras including my Bal Level which i think was the best option accessory i ever purchased lol.But now im sitting here and happy it was sold cause i still owed balance and glad it got payed off and no extra bill.Sad that the days of the POP is over all the memories of our kids and the good times we had and laughs we enjoyed as we played bingo and scrabble, life and other great things makeing popcorn with that silly shaker on the stove that when heated would ballon up (jiffy popcorn ).Time does fly by ..But hopefully we can enjoy the Hybrid, with the a/c and the heat and maybe the Grand kids will come and enjoy with new memories,Well i just wanted to know i appreciate the input some of you have gave me as the Hybrid is a new animal to us but we shouldnt have to much problem. From time to time ill still ask about mods and im in process of building chocks for the wheels i need the size i want to build befor i get the HTT.Thanks all sorry was so long but will be hear to add some of my future input.

The combination of selling the p'up and the kids growing up so fast is what chokes us up.
Like you we had years of fond memories camping in tents and our P'up but we're really enjoying our 21SS0.
I think you'll find the extra comforts a real blessing plus your still hanging on to what most of us loved about our P'ups, sleeping under tentage.
Have fun

Jerr529 congrats on the 23SS. We bought one this spring. We have only been able to use a couple of times so far due to a new addition to our family. A long awaited baby girl. We are going to try to camp a couple of times this fall and plan on hitting it hard next summer. I too have very fond memories of camping in a tent and then a pop up with my parents when I was growing up. My wife had never camped before so she is excited about camping as well. I am looking forward to showing both my wife and my daughter the ropes of camping in general and all that great family time in the woods. That is why I wanted to get back into camping. Enjoy the Roo and do it as long as God and your health allow you too.

Just think of all the new memories you will have without breaking your back
Now your POP can make new memories for another new family.
It's a nice transition.
Welcome to Hybrid country!

Plenty of new memories to come! My wife and I had similar seperation anxiety with our PUP, but our 21SS is so much more enjoyable camping in! Even with the problems I've had, and not the best of experiences with my dealer and Forest River, I still don't regret the choice as the floorplan and HTT were perfect for us!
One terrific benefit you have is the wealth of knowledge shared here from with great mods, good repairs, and just good experience!
Enjoy! BTW - ST 205/75 R14 will be your tire!

You can actually read my experience with Carlisles, which were from the factory. The cracked carcasses are now back in Carlisle's hands and I put Maxxis tires on the HTT at Carlisle's expense (waiting for the check). Had I had a little more time, I would have put Denman's on it, which I finally found (last ST radial made in North America), and just put a set on my box trailer to replace ~2 year-old rotting Duros.
