That is when it is plugged into your lighter outlet in your car. If you use the included direct to battery cable you get the full 660 watt output. One thing to keep in mind though you will be pulling in excess of 50 amps when you do this. If you wire it into your camper you will need at least #6 wire from the microwave all the way to your battery. This should be fused at the battery!

I bought a Wave Cube to take to work, fit inside work locker and to maybe use in the truck camper. It is very small and only zaps at 350 watts. No 12volt power though.
