Does anyone put well water in their fresh water tank? Our house has well water that is treated. checking to see if it is ok to fill with well water (treated or untreated).

if your well water is approved for potable use, then yes no problem. i use an inline filter on the hose when filling my tank.

There are a lot of places you stay that have well water. I have well water at home and have on occasion put that in the tank. The reason I say occasionally is because I have such bad sulfur water I try not to use it. There is nothing wrong with the well water in general. The chlorine in town water is only effective for a few days anyway. JM2Cents Bill

I'll put money on your well water over some of the water coming out of these campgrounds spickets. I don't worry about my well water with all the filters I have on the system.

Run it through your water filter first.

Sure, why not?

We live in the country. Our water for the house is pumped from a well. No added treatment. We fill our TT fresh water tank before leaving on our camping trips so that we have water to use along the way. Most all of the campgrounds that we camp at draw their potable water from wells. C.O.E., state and national parks, etc.

, I am also on well water, but never get ill from it at home. It stays in the water heater tank while I am gone and I dont drain it when I get home before use. Also have 200 gallon pressure tank and never drain it when I get back home so I dont worry to much about the water sitting in the RV tank for a week or so. But I dont think it would hurt to put a teaspoon or so of bleach into storage tank and fill it with 40 gallons or so of water if one is worried about it. If you start with clean/sanitized tank dont think you have anything to worry about.

I use untreated well water for 7 months every winter and have for the last 9 years. Right now I have been at a campground for over a month that has well water.

None of the water is filtered coming into the MH. I bought the MH when it was 3 years old 6 years ago. I have never sanitized the tank in it. I also never sanitized the tank in my previous 19 year MH and I am sure many, many gal of unfiltered well water was used in it.
