If you like the taste, use it. We always use our untreated well water from home. Our water is better than bottled water.
Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping

We have good well water. I'm more concerned about the minerals junking up the lines or rusting up the sinks. I could put our treated water in it which should eliminate that concern (our toilets and sinks don't get rusty at all in our house).

Oh yes, many (most) campgrounds provide well water, many (Most?) Cities provide well water. (unless you live on a drinkable river and those are getting fewer and farther as they say)
So yes, you likely already have well water in your tank
I do filter whatever goes into my tank (Camco CX-90 IIRC) and what I drink passes through a Brita as well, but well water it is. Even my city water (Detroit) is well water. even though I'm on a river
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

YES it DEPENDS upon the well water.
Some well water contains large quantities of iron, sulfur and other stuff that does some pretty remarkable chemistry when you expose it to oxygen.
Don't listen to anyone here who says, "Yes we do it all the time", or "No you shouldn't" Their answer depends on their well water and has little to do with your well water.
Make your decision based on what you see in your house. Do your toilet tanks (or bowl) contain significant seidment, precipitate or scum or do you wash clothes without fear? Are your pots, pans, waterheaters becoming giant rocks or do you run your dishwasher without a rinsing agent and get spotless glasses?
Has your water been tested for hardness and other minerals by a real lab (not somone peddling water softeners)? If it doesn't qualify as "hard" or have much in the way of "undesirable" minerals, ok.
If you use your household well water with essentially no issues from dissolved minerals, it's likely to be ok for your camper.
Although I suppose you might worry that it is not chlorinated as "city water" is.

Personally I prefer my home water,, and it works well straight from the well. And my cats like it better, they can get picky with "other" water.

wa8yxm,
Detroit water comes from the river and Lake Huron. It is then treated.

I was once giver some advise that made sense to me. I was told to use, and make it a habit to use an inline filter (like the blue cylinder shaped ones) when filling my holding tank, especially when using water from out of the way RV Parks that use water from a well. His main concern was to eliminate any thing that will harm the water pump.
I've been using a filter ever since (better safe then sorry).

I now live on rural property and there is no other way to get water except from a well so we use what we have and fill the TT anytime we're headed out.

What about using the well water to wash your rv? We don't use it to wash our cars, but we also can't take the rig to a regular car wash (or truck wash for that matter).
