We stayed at River's End out on Tybee Island and it will certainly accomodate large units.
Considering how hot Savannah must be in August, River's End might be a good choice, it is just a couple of blocks off the Ocean and any cool breezes that go along with the water.

River's End tends to be buggy, but it's nice out there. We stay at Savannah Oaks - right off 95 and super easy to get downtown. Savannah calls us often. Great, great place. A lot to do and see.

When we were there, we were in Hilton Head and then took toad down. Great place -- note we stayed in Outdoor Resorts. The two places in Hilton Head I know of...were very big rig friendly. The other one is the Hilton Head Resort and Yacht Club....RVTV just did a show on them. Places off of 95 too..You can bet we will be back down there in the future.

I would stay away from Rivers End. We found it to be not at all like the web site makes you believe it will be. While Tybee Island is a nice place we were not at all impressed with the campground. I do have a review of it posted on rvparkreviews if you are interested in it.

Ft. McAllister SP in Richmond Hill, GA with easy access to Savannah and I-95 is our first choice, but Skidaway's sites are similarly large and private.
