Hey guys. I was wondeing if there are any negative comments/experiences using the Maxxis tires for your TH? I have the OEM tires on my Raptor, but have seriously been concerned about the quality of the factory tires and we're getting ready for a long trip.

I was quoted 2300.00 for the Goodyear Marathons, yesterday, but that's a bit steep I'd say. The Maxxis, and even the BF GR are much much less. Less in cost that is....Are they a quality tire?

Any advice?

Thanks

If you search in the RV FAQ Section above in the blue bar above, under "Maxxis Tires", you'll find 14 pages of comments and remarks.

Or you can search this Forum for `Maxxis' to read what has previously been reported.
I tried but could not find anything newer than 2001!

Really? I couldn't find any mention of Maxxis Tires in the FAQ thread.

When I run a general search, however, I come up with a bunch of other threads that mention the tires.

FSDDS, I think that you are confused on search. Every page has the Search: box at the top. They all search the same place (the whole site).

I just put a set of 4 on our TT. Drove about 6000 miles with them. No issues and hardly any treadwear. Maxxis also has a 4 year warranty. Most others are no more than 2.

If you are going to spend that much you would be better off to step up to a 16" tire and wheel combo, I got 7 225/75X16" XPS ribs and alu. wheels for less than $1,700.00 with trade in of the old wheels and tires, do your homework and check all options, Good luck
