We do have farmers market in our small city every Saturday.
We can't afford to buy there. Like 99 cents for few lousy radishes at Safeway is not enough, the farmers offer "Premium" products for more than premium prices.
We do have nice tomatoes in our garden. Lot of tree fruits although seems to be so-so year for apples.

Sorry Dee,
You'll just have to drive to the valley. All of the roadside fruit stands are still selling around here, depending on what you want. Of course most of them are around Scio and Crabtree.

I do feel sorry for you since local stuff is the best. Our corn has been in for a couple of weeks and now it's the sweet butter and sugar. Tomatoes just came in. Summer squash, zucchini, cukes, peppers...yummy!
The grocery stores stock produce from local farms and I have been buying corn this week for 20¢ an ear. Tomorrow will be my fourth corn day. We are like little piggies - but it's such a short season. Get it while it's here.

Dee,
This is one of my favorite drive to places for fresh produce this time of year. And when they talk apple cider, it is the real thing. Yummy, you can buy it in the gal. jug frozen so it is easy transporting.
Grandpas' Produce in Crabtree is my favorite this time of year for corn and blueberries.

I told you it was a drive to place.
No thunder storms, but I guess there have been some spots that are getting rain around the valley. It has just missed Lebanon. It may not today though, the sky looks like rain, and tommorrow they are calling for rain showers. Sucks, I had plans. Guess they had thunder/lightning storms over the Cascades in the Willamette National Forest that set off a couple small fires. That they were able to get under control.
Heard that NE Deschutes county was under a thunder storm watch last night, so I figured you probably were to. Hope it wasn't to wild.
