We had a sad incident in our county involving a mountain lion and a old labrador named Scout. As a loyal lab owner, I felt it was needed to post this atricle about living in mountain lion county.
We have all camped in lion country, and sometimes we need to be reminded that we are in THEIR territory and must respect them.

RIP Scout. She is survived by her pal, Sam, a chocolate lab.

Awful! I hope death was quick for Scout (sounds like it could have been). Very scary to think that could just as easily been one of the people.

The Lion survives today because We all felt bad for nearly destroying them all,,,Then after years of fighting to Save the Lion, we populate the habitats again, and then,...gather up a hunting party to kill the animal for doing what is very natural to them...I dont get that logic.

I am so sorry to hear about Scout.
May their good memories help them during this difficult time.

Before reading the story, I truly thought it must have been a dog left outside. How very scary to think that a mountain lion could have entered their house. RIP Scout.

It is scary because mountain lions are around more places than we realize!! I am a Lab lover and every loss (and loss of other dogs and cats too) is felt.

I can't imagine a mountain lion entering a house in the middle of the night and carrying off a lab. Poor thing.
