What would be the best way to get to Pigeon Forge out of Knoxville. I am looking at Rt 441 to Rt 66 or I-40 to Rt 66. I know there is construction in Knoxville on I-40. We will be going thru there the second week of Sept.

I would take the I-640 bypass around Knoxville to I-40 East, exit 407 (Rt 66). The directions on I-640 are well marked. 441 will put you driving downtown with a lot of stop/go.
At I-40 East, exit 398, there is a Camping World store.
Just be aware that traffic on Hwy. 66 will be very heavy on the weekends. Also, UT is playing at home on Sept. 13, so Knoxville traffic will be heavier than normal.
