May I suggest you go to the Megacab? I purchased a Quad cab and you really can't get anyone back there. The Megacab is real nice as you can put people and your gear back there and still have enough room for other things. You can never have enough space in your TV.

Having said that, it's nice to see you are looking for a good deal and taking your time. Good luck.

Well, the deal I'm looking at is between 35k and 36k on a 08 Cummins, 6 Spd, 4x4 Quad Cab SLT Big Horn Edition with Satellite radio, chrome steps, Exhaust Brake, bedliner, Chrome bug shield, and blue tech whatever that is. Of course I'm upside down like heck on my current truck, but that's the best deal I've come across on a diesel. The sticker on it is 45k. What do you all think?

In our area, you could expect to get a Dodge Ram with a $45k MSRP for at least $12k off MSRP, some have seen as much as $15k off. The only reason they are not lower is because they closed down the production facilities to burn off high truck inventories and start building more small cars. They are trying to manipulate supply and demand by decreasing inventory, don't believe it! It is a buyer's market for trucks and will be or some time to come.

I agree with DoubleWrap, you should be atleast $12K off sticker.

Here in Memphis I see advertisements for 30% off most all brands. That sounds pretty good, but I would bet you could beat that if you shop around.

Well, to update you all, I finally went with a different dealer and got a 08 2500 Ram SLT, 4x4 6-Spd Auto Quad Cab Short Bed Diesel, Big Horn Edition for $31,900. That was the best deal I could get. I shopped GM and Ford for reference, and they are way too proud of their trucks around here. Ford was the proudest as GM did offer a better discount, but nobody could come close to Dodge. That Cummins is a power house!!! The Ford was dead at take-off, and the GM was pretty well rounded.

I ordered my 2008 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab Long Bed 4X4 HEMI Automatic (I know you are talking about diesel here, but this might help you out) in January, before the big oil crisis. I got nearly every option imaginable. I paid $30K plus T&L. The diesel would have been $5K more. Keep in mind, I got a ton of extras (side steps, upgraded interior, upgraded stereo, remote start, tow package, bed liner, bug shield, anti slip diff, amongst other things). I think I got a pretty good deal. I shopped this at a dealer in Idaho (Dave Smith Motors) and then brought the quote to my local dealer, who matched it. I also have heard Costco has some pretty good deals?

I forgot to mention I also got side steps, satellite radio, infinity sound, tow package, power sliding rear window, exhaust brake, diamond plate bed caps, mud flaps, billet grille, anti-slip diff, bedliner, and upgraded interior. all for 31,900. And it's a diesel. I also feel as if I got a pretty decent deal after all. Thanks to everyone!

I'm about to pay 27K for a 3500 '07 with 32k miles - hope it's a good deal! Seems okay.
