I have an aluminum frame & bumper on my ultra lite 5th. wheel trailer.
I want to tow my jetski behind my 5th. wheel trailer.
Is it fisable to replace the aluminum bumper with a metal bumper & then have a hitch welded to the metal bumper?
I believe towing doubles is not allowed in Texas anyhow. Double check that.
But, everyone will ask the make/model of your trailer. Then they will tell you to call the mfg and ask what they think of it. Then they will tell you that it will void your frame warranty.
That should pretty much sum up how this thread will go.
Are you sure that you have an aluminum frame. You're not confusing aluminum framed walls with the coach frame. Never heard of a coach frame in aluminum in larger units.
If your overall length is under 65' it's OK to tow doubles in TX.

I personally would not weld a hitch to the bumper. Have one made to bolt to the frame of the trailer. I have built two or three and have never had a problem. I just would not trust hooking anything to the bumper.
