I was just at Luxury RV Resort and it's a very nice RV park. It has a nice pool and everything is clean. They are kid friendly. Some of the kids were catching crab in the near by stream but you have to watch because they do have alligators in that area and although we didn't see any they are there. You can walk to everything from the campground if you want. We would walk to dinner then stop at the souvenir shops, stop at the ice cream shop and head back to camp. The beach is 3 blocks from the campground. You can walk and I watched some younger people with all there beach stuff walking. We walked when we were just taking a walk but when we were going to take the beach stuff we drove. You can pay $2.00 a day or $10.00 a week to park at the public beach at the end of the road or you can turn right at the light and go to the free parking public beach. the parking lots are next to each other. We did the free lot it was less crowded and easier getting in and out. It was nice to get to the end of the beach throw the stuff in the truck and turn on the air. We found nothing negative about this campground. We did check out the other campgrounds in the area and this was the nicest in my opinion if you want to spend a lot of time at the beach plus have a pool. There is a water park next door to the campground if you choose to use it. Between the beach, pool, bikes and playing with the other kids at the campground they didn't ask to go and I didn't offer. If you have any questions let me know.

Here's a third vote for Luxury RV. Especially since your must is a pool. I much prefer Gulf State Park but no pool there. It has a lake you can swim in but the pool would be better.

I stayed at Island retreat. It was a nice campground had a pool and playground. 187.00 for a week. It is about 2 miles down hwy 180 Fort morgan road. Looked at Luxury Rv it was nice also it was closer to beach but was booked when we was there. It is kinda a parking lot setting but looked very clean. If you get time check out the navel aviation musuem in Pensacola while you are there. Was one of the highlights of the trip for us. MIKE

We stayed at Gulf Breeze in Gulf Shores. Very nice cg and ok for big rigs. Pool, tennis, laundy, showers seem fine.

OK not to rain on everyone's love of Luxury but it is last on our list.
Here are the better ones.
Island Retreat- Big(room to ride bikes), Pool, Cable, wifi, large sites.
Doc's- Older but nice, SHADE, Pool, cable, Nice sites
Anchors Away- NEW, Large, Great pool, NO SHADE at all.
The people at ALL of these are great.

I liked those also when I checked the other campgrounds in the area but if the beach is on your list it's a bit of a drive.

We went to Anchors Aweigh and really enjoyed it. They have a great Pool and play ground for the kids. Looks like a old ship they can climb on. People very helpful and friendly. As stated above no shade new park. There is a give and take with all of them.

We spent 2 weeks in June/July and stayed at Gulf Shores SP. LOVE IT!! Doesn't have a pool, but it is only $27/night and the others are in excess of $50/night. For $25/night, I can do LOTS of other stuff. I agree with the above, we drove through all the listed campgrounds and found Luxury RV to be WAAAAYYYYY to close. Many campers with slides were within inches of the next camper. Sorry, but I don't want to be that close to someone I don't know. Doc's did seem to be nice, older, but had more room around the campers. Just my opinion.
