How about getting a job and this time give some thought to what you want to do when you retire. Maybe you'll figure it out, if not, just keep on working. A mind that's idle leads to an early death. Your choice!

You can do anything and most everything you like. Site see, walk, be a tourist, go to a gym, play an instrument, read about the area your in, plan your next trip, go to local events, ride a bike, kayak, see a movie, learn a language, do puzzles, take a lot of pictures.

Enjoy yourself, it's not a contest. Do what you like.

My DW works for a not-for-profit christian children's home and they always have meaningful things for volunteers to do and none of it includes cleaning. I do volunteer work for them from time to time and it sure makes the heart feel good!

How many languages do you know. Learn Spanish as it is an ever more important language in the North American Community. After you have learned, volunteer in a spanish speaking role in either the US or Mexico. Learning a second language is one of the best methods of keeping your brain active and growing and is also a deterant to Alzheimers.

Just a thought.

I'm also a retired air traffic controller. When I retired, I didn't know anything about waterfowl or birds; my knowledge was limited to identifying a Mallard or a Robin. Now, after our fifth volunteer stint at National Wildlife Refuges and state parks, my wife and I have developed an interest and a fair amount of knowledge of wildlife and waterfowl/birds. We do public outreach programs, teach children during environmental education days, and staff visitor centers. It's been rewarding and has renewed our interests in hiking and photography. I'm also taking advantage of Montana's famous fly fishing....there just isn't time for everything we want to do. I still hate Canada Geese, though...every airport I worked at had the darn things getting in the way!

I think you need to find what interests you. There must be something that peaks your curiosity. Figure out what it is and start some research, then move forward from there nothing like a project to make the time pass

Rent the movie the Bucket List.

Make yours. Do it now.

Get going.

Life is short, Death is long.

While you're thinking about it, your life is happening. Do you want to watch or play on the field of glory?

Get out of your own way, make it happen.

Remember Teddy Roosevelt?

The best thing you can do is the right thing. The next best thing you can do is the wrong thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.

There are two worthless days, yesterday and tomorrow. Live now!
