IH says they fail every once in awhile, which appears to be true. In my case, at 96K and again at 110K, but now over 150K without another failure. I carry a spare and a 10mm wrench, just in case and it only takes 10 minutes to change, so no big problem.

Any electrical component can fail on occassion just like any mechanical component. Gee, I guess everything can fail at some point in time.
