I just thought I would drop a quick line to introduce myself. I am new to the forum, and didn't see a "New Members Introduce Yourself" thread, so I thought I would introduce myself here.
I joined the forum primarily to get information about towing in general, and some ideas how to best set up my 2008 Tundra to tow, while maintaining or even improving off-road capability. It will be used mostly for towing a horse trailer, although my wife and I have mentioned the possibility of a travel trailer of some sort being a possibility.
We did make use of my mother-in-law's motor home for a number of years, until she sold it, and it does make some things more pleasant, so we will see. This looks like the best place to research a possible purchase in the future, figuring out what would be best for our uses and the like.
I will likely lurk more than I post, except to ask some specific questions about towing, but I thought I should at least say hello. So, hello!

Hello back, and welcome! Use the search box to check for threads that might be of special interest to you (Tundra, for example). You'll find lots of information here - most of it pretty good . We've sure learned a lot about towing from the folks on this forum!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I am sure I will have some questions. And any time I can offer insights, I will try to do so. I like to be productive and helpful where I can.
A little more about me, since I was in a bit of a rush earlier. I'm an attorney by profession, but serve as a medic in the Army National Guard. I am currently deployed in Kuwait, and I'm making plans for my modifications for my Tundra while I am here. I enjoy camping, usually in a tent, but find the idea of a trailer that is self contained yet able to get into some of the places I go to be appealing. I have more hobbies than I can mention or do justice to.

Thanks. I've been to Rantoul a couple of times for horse shows. I don't recall much in the way of woods there though, just cornfields... Just like my home state of Ohio!

Well, I certainly like your choice in vehicles! 2WD or 4WD? I will be looking around, trust me.
