Thats why parks don't allow hunting to protect the wild life, thats what makes going so much fun to rest relax and see nature Fix camper so they can't get in and enjoy.

younchem, thank you for being a kind soul.

As for the rest of you, stay the heck out of the woods since you can't handle it.

There are ways that you could deal with this is by actually feeding them outside....

First let me say that I also love to be outdoors and enjoy seeing wildlife, but OUTSIDE my home(RV). As a volunteer with our state's wildlife division I have been involved with projects centered on wildlife damage and one of the causes is due to people feeding these wild animals. Then they become accustomed to the charity and expect the next home owner or RV pulling in to also provide free food. Then they have to be dealt with, either by relocating them or euthanasia if they are repeat offenders. Even small animals like chipmunks can be a nuisance if fed so please WATCH them and do not FEED them. Then we can all enjoy the full impact of the outdoors.

For those that wants to shoot the little fellow, why don't you just stay in the city. You invade his territory and then just because he looking for something to eat you want to snap his head off.

If you can’t handle the wildlife then camp elsewhere. This is a National Park and is full of wildlife.

I already know this, but was the answer to the idiots who were wanting to KILL it...so instead, just feed it outside. Would rather have the chipmunk alive and fed outside then the alternative answer they had.

I am a retired horse trainer/riding instructor. I too rehabbed many a animal, wild and domesticated (ark group) and involved with nature and wildlife photography with my husband. We know the deal about outdoor feeding. Camp in the mountains all the time. Don't feed the beasts.

I got peeved at the stupidity of the Kill mentality is all. Thanks for the reminder.

OK...I reread the original post, and my apologies if I wasn't clear in what I was saying. If the chipmunk can get in when the slide is fully extended, my thoughts are that something isn't correct with the adjustment of the slide and or the seal. Therefore, I suggested that the camper needs to be fixed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the slide is extended, the metal flange and seal are tight against the frame around the slideout. If done properly, the critter shouldn't be able to get in. But....I'm not a RV technician, so perhaps I'm assuming too much.

I just took 2 squirrels out tonight in the back yard I would'nt even give them the oppritunity to do any damage to my house or my tt. But at a camp ground I have to agree we are in their territory. But don't think for a minute I would not keep a close eye on the little fella. Happy hunting i mean camping.
