Its been Awesome!!
Our new pontoon boat has been a BLAST!
I think we've only missed 2 weekends since the beginning of May!
While we havent camped over night all of them, we have at the very least driven down to putt around on the toon for day trips.
Made it up to Glendo Wy for a week, and down to Lake Powell for a week as well.
Ohh ya... fun fun fun!
Heading out on Friday for the weekend with the pup n toon!

I need to get my picture posting butt in gear here too!

This weekend camp-out we went on had some unexpected problems, but we still had a great time. Seems somehow the electrical system in our camper went nutzo and we didn't have any power. No pump to work the water or power for the heater. But no problem since the DH was still able to access the water...so we wouldn't thirst to death. Just had to fill pitchers/containers and use the water the 'old fashion way'. LOL. Thank goodness we had a heavy comforter on the bed so we didn't freeze either. Summers in CO still are very cold in the mountain areas. We usually boon-dock on weekends, so we always have a lot of battery powered lanterns....so we didn't have to be in the dark bumping into things all the time either. DH still has to figure out what went wrong...before we head out again for another camp-out.

I will post some photos of the camp-out later this week to share.

BTW...WaltinColo, do you have any photos of the CG in Glendo? We passed by that area coming back from SD camping-vacation and thought about going there next summer with friends who have a boat. Any info on the CG and boating would be greatly appreciated.

Hey!
Ya, weve headed up there every summer for the last 3 with a gang of about 25 people and 2-3 boats.
Great place!
While there are quite a few designated camping spots, we always tend to drive around the lake to the "Sandy Beach" side and just boondock it at some place along the edge that looks like a good place.
Ill hunt down a few pic, but heres one now of the kids having fun!

A place we go to sometimes, called Pinnacle Lake, has a rock formation like that we jump off of. One of them reaches 50 ft. high! It kind of hurts when you hit the water, but it is a great time!

we had a great beginning to the summer getting out camping every weekend. Though since I had a total knee replacement on aug 4th. we have been. I was hoping that I would be able to camp the last two weeks of recovery. I am not sure that will happen but as of yet I am not giving up hope. I hope everybody enjoys the rest of the summer.

It has been good, but my wife sees no problem with the RV being parked in our driveway.

It wasn't made to sit in our driveway, all closed up and lonesome. It needs to be surrounded by the real outdoors.

We'll work on that more next summer. I'm thinking about some Fall trips, but this year is already filled up. Too much stuff to do, not enough time to enjoy not doing stuff.

Bet it would hurt even more to hit the rocks.
