Congrats on the new TT. We love the 314bhds layout for the kids. We opted to keep the j cube so that in unfolds into a king size sleeper for the kids. The bunks in a bunkhouse will not have enough room when they are teens.
My 2008 was bought through rvdirect/albany rv. When I got there to do my pdi, I was not on schedule for that day. I came from Fl. Chris Roy messed up but they were able to get my unit cleanedabout half hour late. Did the pdi, noticed they had opened the slideout a little too far and hit the utitlity pole. There was a dent on my slideout awning. They wanted $100 to install the brackets for equalizer hitch on trailer. I opted to trade services and I would live with the minor dent. Scheduled at 10 am and I was on the road by 1pm

Congratulations on your new TT! RV Direct's area for doing work & the PDI is pretty small, but it seems that they get the job done. I must give them high marks for working in the rain to install a vent cover and converting the friction sway system that they had mistakenly installed to the dual cam that I had ordered. The only thing I find that needs to be worked on is my water pump can't access about 10 gallons of water in the fresh water tank (factory install). I have the under belly cover so can't easily access the area to see what the problem is. That will wait until I get to a dealer. I will also probably need to get new axles since another thread on this Forum says that there should be about 4" of space between the top of the tires and the top of the wheelwell (factory install). I only have 1 3/4".
Now, it's time for you to go have lots of fun! I'm off to WV in a few days for a family reunion, RVing the whole time!!!

Bought a new 24rks last month and our microwave died first trip out also. Had it replaced and no other problems.

Congrats on the new RV. Hopefully you will have better results than I had with my 2007 Jayco EXP 232. I had the same issue with the shower surround. Albany RV tried to fix it 3 times and came close the last time by trying to to cover the gaps/warps with the molding tape.
I have had extremely poor service with Albany RV. I bought the Jayco there and Cindy was awesome... until I signed the papers. After that anything she said went out the window. I had numerous problems with the 232; from the from bunk leaking and warping the trimboard for the front bunk, water goes right through the shower curtain, nick, cracks, and screws missing from things, the electric water heater didn't work the first trip, etc. Albany RV had my trailer for 9 months trying to fix everything right. They went through 3 Jayco service managers in that time. Finally, we got Mark who took care of it although I was fed up with the Hybrid...
Unfortunately, to get the model I wanted I had to go through Albany RV again. Picked it up 2 weeks ago and the PDI was somewhat painless with only cosmetic issues to work out. The Laredo is going well so far. Took the first trip to Deer Run just this past week. It we were there the same time you couldn't have missed it, it was the only Laredo there and stuck out like a sore thumb amongst all you Jayco owners ;-)
FYI, I am new... Apologies if I didn't ROFL and broke any rules!

If your shower doesn't have the plastic surround and the water is hitting just the panaling I would suggest a home depot store and for about $80 you can install the item and never have a problem again. did that last year on my Jayco because it came from the factory with just what looked like panaling in the shower area. Just a thought..

Laredo,
I saw you at Deer Run. We were there 8/4 - 8/7. That is a nice TT you have. Did you have to go to Buffalo to get it? Glad I'm not the only one who had bad customer service @ Albany RV. I guess misery loves company there!
How did you like Deer Run. We thought it was OK but next time we will go the the Lake George area. Did Deer Run as it was close to Six Flags.

Small world, eh?! We were there from 8/2 - 8/7. This is our second year there. Deer Run is a quick drive. It only takes 45 minutes to get there and they do have some rather larger RV sites off to the left. It is not big on kids activities as some of the better LG campgrounds are but it does for a quick and easy drive with no hassles. Some downfalls with Deer Run;
Gates close at 7 PM and if you forget your pass you are locked out
No 24/7 security
Not many kids activities
Over 75% of the sites are taken by seasonals leaving little room to meet new people
The bridge work makes for a 5 minutes stop to get to and from the grounds
Good points:
Not as far as LG
Sites are larger
Price Chopper is 5 minutes away(not counting bridge work)
Staff is very friendly
Everyone we met was friendly and outgoing
Lake George campgrounds get a better variety of people. My favorite is Lake George Escape(LGE). I have been camping there for 7 years(first 5 were TC). They have much to do for the kids. Amenities and facilities are well placed. A short drive to the village. And everyone is spectacular there.
That was the one good thing with the Laredo, Buffalo RV dragged it over to Albany @ no charge. I had no big issues(except for haggling) with Buffalo RV or Albany RV on this TT. I worked with Mark and his brother Matt; I believe they are the owners sons.
I am thinking of heading up to the LG RV Park for the balloon festival. Then probably do a Columbus Day stay in LGE.
