I agree with the freindly staff at Deer Run and the bridge is a major PIA! I was looking at the Laredo but my idiot salesman said that they could not ship the Laredo from the Buffalo site to the Albany site. Did he lie tio me? I did not feel like driving another 4 hours so I went with the Jayco, (a heavier unit.)

Maybe they couldn't drive it for you because we were buying it? But no, they drove the vehicle from Buffalo to ALB... They can do it.

Kind of gets me even more mad knowing that Jim Miller said it was not possible. He has to be the least knowledgeable sales person I've ever dealt with.

Too funny... Jim is the one I worked with. Although it may have been a kind gesture give our issues with the Jayco.

Congrats on the new TT. We love the 314bhds layout for the kids. We opted to keep the j cube so that in unfolds into a king size sleeper for the kids. The bunks in a bunkhouse will not have enough room when they are teens.

Chi-
Did you see the trundle bed option on the Eagle?
The bottom bunk is oversized as is the trundle-plenty big enough even for adults.
I ordered an Eagle 324 this weekend. I opted for the trundle as these bunks are definitely oversized. And the 324 has a loft bed across from the trundle with ward, tv shelf and ladder below that is also oversized. My wife like the jcube also.
Anyways, just wanted to get your thoughts on this or if you got to see it.

I bought a jayco jayfeather29d through them they had it bought in from Buffalo. Im trying to get it looked at for the axle clearance and they said they are booked two months out and wouldnt even give me a date, said they would call if they had a cancellation. Once you buy it they dont want much to do with you . Im going to go to another dealer to have it looked at, and in two years when I trade up to a 5th wheel i will again go to another dealer .

How much can you really save by buying through RV Direct-
example-
I just ordered a Jayco Eagle 324 bhds through the dealer I feel is the best of the best-fully optioned to my specs for 25800-this is a unit that specs the msrp for around 38000.
I just dont think rv direct can be that much better plus having a dealer that will bend over backwards to help when needed.
Am I missing something?

Congrats on the new trailer!

We picked up our Eagle 322 in mid June from RV Direct and have loved it. Between the base cost of the trailer and the add on items they installed for us we figured we save over $6000 from the best price the two local dealers could do, and they wouldn't install some of the items we wanted. If your lucky enough to live in an area with dealers that can come close, go for it.

overniter - Looks like you are getting about a 34% discount from MSRP. Since I received a 34% discount from RV Direct in Albany on my 25F, I would think that your deal is a good one with your local dealer. When I was looking for mine, my local dealers would not do more than about 25%, so I went with RV Direct.
