I have a 30 footer and set the front landing gear down and then turned the back landing gear down until it was snugg. The front landing gear is the power jacks with the standard one leg on each side and the back are the manual turn down jack. While camping, I was still feeling the foot traffic movement inside the 5er when I was napping. Any suggestions on stabilizing the 5er better to tighten her up???

We use the UltraFab tri-pod hitch support. Takes out a great deal of movement without costing a bunch of cash. And it acts as a theft deterant if used with a substantial pad lock!

The 5er is sort of like a boat.....it moves. Want something that does not move? Get a house on a concrete slab. Everything else will move to some degree. You just get used to it. For one nighters, if there is room, we don't unhitch or put rear stabilizers down. We just take a little weight off the truck with the front legs down.

Take a look at one of the advertizers on this site the Steadyfast stabilizers we love ours! I had something similar to the Jts and like these much better,a lot of research went in to these and 4 years R&D! IMHO!!!

Who needs a slab for a house. I've had Meneries disease and has left me motion intolerant so I use adjustable chocks between the wheels for forward and backward motion/pin stabilizer in the front for side to side and Bal stabilizer in the rear for rear side to side movement. Snug them all up just so they take the movement out. May have to readjust in a day or so.

Partly depends on what you want to spend and additional weight you're willing to carry around. Since its on wheels I just want to get it firmed up for the stay. I drop the landing gear down at least half way before lowering the extensions, unhitch and get things leveled up. Then drop the rear support jacks, I use a wood support block and try to keep a diamond shape. The last thing I install is wheel chock between the wheels. I made up two pieces of 4X4" drilled the middle and added a threaded rod with a nut on the end to allow tightening. I welded a steel plate to one end of the rod and a handle on a nut so no tools are needed. Need a picture send me a private message. No complaints in our 5ver even with a couple of grand kids running in and out.
