I'm a disabled war veteran ( USMC ) the State of Washington has awarded me with a Free Disabled Veteran Pass. Does anyone know of other RV places that give a break to vets! To qualify in Washington State you have to be over 30% disabled and I'm way beyond that! Thanks, John

The Federal System will offer you an Access Pass at no charge that will give you free access to any federal recreation area that has an admission charge and half price for all federal amenity charges such as camping.

John, I think most states will give you a disability pass. California will. Wife has one from there. The discounts may vary from state to state.
Go for it...and thanks for your Service.

John,
Thank you for your service.
I think your pass (parking pass) is good in any state. As others have stated most all states have disabled passes for a lot of different things.
Good luck and God Bless

Oregon will give you a free pass regardless of your state of residence if you have a certified service connected disability. It is good for 5 straight days at an Oregon state campground or 10 days in any month. Since you are in Washington, I encourage you to contact the State of Oregon Parks Dept. http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/PARKS/fee_waivers.shtml
The pass is good for a couple of years and you can get it with any VA approved service connected, even a 10%. Generally, states will not honor disabled passes from another state for discount purposes.

Hi,
In California, a veteran with any disability can get free tuition for themselves and their kids at all the Cal State Universities.
Berkley, USC, UCLA, UC Davis, Ect.
Your handicap card is valid in every state that I know of.
Your camping pass would only be good in Washington. To apply for a camping discount card, bring in your handicap card and fill out a form at the headquarters building for a state park, and they will issue you a permit to park at 1/2 price.
The free Golden Acess Pass is well worth it to get one of those. It gives 1/2 price discount for camping fees - to anyone with a handicap card, and free admission to all National Parks. See the clickable link above.
All of this came with a price. Freedom has a price, and thank you for making that payment for us. Others have made a larger payment, some a smaller payment, and some like me, can not qualify to make the payments.
My uncle was on patrol in the Pacific during 1943 - 1945 on a submarine - he was a lucky one to come home from each patrol. My dad designed some of the high tech submarine gear used on modern subs.
