I've read over and over on this forum, how someone sold their 5er on E-Bay, but I'm not seeing it. I've tried two different times in selling mine on there, and all I'm finding is the bidders what something for close to half the value of my 5er.
Where should I look to list my RV to find buyers who are serious about giving me an offer?
Thanks

Try rvsearch.com (accessable through this website), and rvtraderonline. This is where serious buyers shop. E-bay buyers want to steal something, and hence the low offers. How many times have you ever made an offer on a high-dollar item without ever laying eyes on it? Never for me. Just remember the paramount rule when listing on either of the sites I mentioned: DON'T price it too high. Learn the market and price it accordingly. Over the past 4 years I've sold 3 motorhomes using the above sites. Priced them properly and sold each within less than a 2-week period. Good luck to you!

I bought my 5th wheel on Ebay and I didn't steel it. Remember it's a buyers market for just about everything right now.

My neighbor sold his class C through E-Bay. He had several bids on it. But as someone said, this is a buyer's market so a reasonable reserve price is the key! Try Craig's list-I received more serious responses than any other ad I placed and sold my 5er through it.

sold a class B on craigslist. Priced it right and it went quickly.
Bought my 5th wheel New.. This was in 2004, could not find any real bargins on used at that time. Found that many selling had over paid and were upside down. I plan to keep the RV for years, so getting what I wanted out weighted any savings on used. I think with fuel prices would make today a buyers market.

Sold three RVs on ebay. Price it fair and you'll sell it quick. CLean it up and give lots of pictures and details about where you bought it, how you used it, if you smoked in it, if you did not cook in it, if you did not have pets in it...all big selling points.

I did all of those things, but I'll have to agree with a earlier post from Turninghawk, I think the E-Bay buyers are looking to steal something, the best bid I got was about half of what I have already been offered by a dealer to trade it in.
Now think about it....a high bid of half of Trade-in Value....you all know that's not a fair bid

The original owner of my FW had it on ebay, but it was priced too high. I corresponded with him and he sent pictures. But he got no bids.
Three months later, I contacted him to see if it was still for sale, it was and I offered him a price about 15% below where he had it on ebay and he agreed. Drove to Billings, Montana in February (-22 degrees) and picked it up. We love it and were more than happy about the price for a 3 yr old FW, which we couldn't find anywhere near us.
