I have taken my new 5er out on several trips so far this year, just returning from Disney last night. What I have noticed is that I get different degrees of movement (shaking) when parked at campgrounds. when someone walks I can feel the whole trailer shaking. Some trips alot, some trips not as much. I use the BAL delux tire locking chocks every time. The only thing I do differently is how far I extend the front jacks(stabalizers). Could this be the problem? Do the tripod king pin stabalizers really work? Thanks for any input.

First let me say that some shaking is inevitable (you are sitting on the trailer suspension). I have just added things over time, and think I am relatively stable now....Riser blocks under the front jacks and rear stabilizers to limit travel, wedge blocks (home made) between the tires, blocks in front and behind each wheel, a king pin stabilizer (I think they do make a different in not allowing the overhang to wiggle around). I'm sure many others will have their own ideas and opinions, but this is what works for me......Brian

Yes IMO this will make a big difference! I use a full stack of those plastic leveling pads on each rear stabilizer. Also I have found that on uneven ground I extend both front landing legs the to the same length and level with boards. My 5er is very stable using this method.

IMNSHO, it won't go away, I've bought several gadgets that were advertised to be the cure-all with no real success. I've also talked to many folks who swear by (and at) some of the doo-dads I've thought about buying.

Quit the horseplay!!! Nothing you do will stop it 100%. This is not a house setting on a foundation. Go with the flow and pretend you have a house boat RV.

We had the same problem in our toy hauler I put the Ultra-fab stabilizers on and now the trailer is rock solid. next week we go for a trip and I will really check it out. The JT strongarm stabilizers are just about the same as the ultra-fab units and vise versa. I used to go crazy when you felt someone walking into the trailer. From what I found out at home I won't even need my kin pin stabilizers anymore so I have a little more I can load in the storage bin.

spend more time camping.. after a while you will hardly notice the movement. Stayed in a desert/dust wind storm last year 65MPH winds.

Best just to get used to it. By the time you get rock-solid, you will have spent too much and spent too much time setting-up and breaking camp.
