Past advertising research proves that consumers still search the yellow pages first when in need of a health related professional. Yellow Pages first then the NET.

Internet
Google
40-60

I do click on the right-hand links, but not until I've gone through at least the first 5-10 regular hits.

You are correct with the statement, "past advertising research", but not correct in the statement, "Yellow Pages first then the Net". Research is at best several years behind the curve and most times as much as 5 years behind in time. The Internet is the leading info base as of today and the paper books are outdated when printed. I watched my BIL try his best to get "The Yellow Pages" to update his printed ad and it took 2, yes 2 years for them to update it. His Internet ad was updated in less than a day, so now all of his advertising budget is for Internet, and he has seen his business volume more than double since the switch.

How old is that "past advertising research"?

I don't pay much attention to the links on the right, since they're usually irrelevant.

To answer the original questions: I'm another internet, Google, 40-60.

When the Yellow Pages get delivered to my front steps, I put them straight into the recycling, they don't even come into the house.

In looking at the results for "chiropractor Burien WA 98166," the first thing I would click on is the link that says, "11 reviews" next to the link for Collins Chiropractic. And after I read that, I'd go to the link for the 5 reviews for the next place.

On the other hand, I'll admit that my eye was caught by the first link over on the right since in addition to the name it said, "Named one of America's BEST Chiropractors." I'd want to know right away who did that naming: Was it a national professional organization, or some magazine, or his mom?

Well actually Joanne. not my mom, rather, consumer research council of America. Although I'm sure mom would agree. LOL. www.drronfulton.com (that's me not Mom)

Thanks Everyone for your help.

Here are my conclusions.
1) We for 30 years have been 90% plus referral. But that extra 10% really helps. Don't care if you are a Chiro, Dentist or an auto mechanic. People move die etc.

2)Phone book is pretty much dead

3) google has about 75% plus of the market. The others share the rest.

4) Thought about putting 30 years in practice, rather than, named one of America's Top Chiro's, But I think it makes me sound to old for the younger folks.

5) Not really trying to "grow the practice" just maintain it, and as I said that extra 10% helps.

6) your opinions on both my "tagline" and website are welcome.

7) Thanks All Doc
