Nothing fancy and right off the interstates, maybe in connection with rest areas. I guess that would involve doing work with the states (forget that)

Most states already have rest areas that you can spend up to 8 hours in for free at the tax payer's expense, plus they have picnic areas and restroom that are open 24 hours.
Also several Walmarts already do not allow RVs, especially in resort cities.

Parking lot camping.

I saw one RV'er the other day who probably won't be using parking lots anymore, or at least not be putting his jacks down again on very hot asphalt. When I saw him, he had attempted to raise the front of his MH with a bottle jack, it had sunk also. When I came out of the grocery store, a tow truck was there. I didn't stick around to see what happened next.

John re read the OP and you will see it does not state any facts or any PR from WM. File it in the no info hopper and read it along with the others there. However there are some informative posts being made. We know heavy loads do damage where it be a RV or a tractor trailer rig. A good point was made about MH PSI on the payment. I am sure some have a higher PSI on the parking lot vs a truck especially on front axles where many MH's are maxed out.

Discussed the problem with Sam Walton last night.

Said the problem was keeping him up nights worrying.

.... I think Walmart should start up a club for those RVers that just love to overnight there. They should have an annual fee for a permit to overnight. The fee would help fill in the holes... Sorry folks, I think the trucks have more reason to overnight there then RV's JMHO. Besides, those trucks are delivering my food, clothes and supplies.

This wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. I would gladly pay a reasonable fee like I pay to shop at Sam's Club to know which Walmarts I could park at and where.

Traveling the interstates alot, I find the rest areas start to fill up around 8-9:00pm every day. Due to law, the truckers MUST get off the road after so many hours behind the wheel. The rest areas are full, as well as the on and off ramps, with 18 wheelers. If they do not get off the road, they face a ticket and hefty fines. So, they go to the next best places to park, like Walmarts and other parking lots.
