We had a one slide class A and wanted more room inside. Our new coach has four slides and we love it. Interior storage is not an issue. Our basement storage has slide out trays and I have no problem getting to anything I need. the patio room is ample. We plan on using this coach as our retirement home when "half-timing" so we like the space. I'm also trying to understand the issue of not having room when traveling with the slides in. ??? We can set on both couches, we can access the sink, fridge, microwave, bathroom, shower, pantry and bed.

I have two slides and it is nice, but three would be perfect. Two in the bedroom and one on the drivers side. I would not want one on the passenger side because of the awning going straight out because of the slide. The awning becomes worthless. Also with four slides when you pull them in, you don't have much room to move around the coach.

yes, but many RVs are very poorly designed so that they are unusable for some functions without putting the slides out. that was why I always insisted on the salesmen putting them in which they hated to do. Back when I was looking Newmar was dreadful in this manner. with slides in lots of their floor plans had a very narrow squeeze thru in places. also with their raise up when in and drop down when out slide floor you had to walk down the hallway with one foot about 8 inches higher than the other.
always check out the function of your RV with the slides in. perhaps more crucial in a motorhome than a TT/5er however?
my BIL was anti slide and was sort of shocked when he saw our motorhome with the living area slide in, totally usable, to access two drawers, we have to put our bedroom slide out a little, however.

2 is enough for us. No problems/issues yet but I'm sure they are lurking somewhere

Well I must enter this debate. We have three, two living and one bedroom. The wife would never let me go to a coach with only one living slide. Loves the extra room when set up. We have a 16 yr old son with Down Syndrome who always travel with us and we need that extra room for him. As for losing patio space, my awning is mounted to my slide so I lose nothing.

I'm happy with 2 but who wouldn't want 4 though. Weight in a gasser is a concern. My 32' rig has same 8.1L gas engine as say 36-38' gasser which already weighs more and same engine. Now add two more slides.. No thanks..
If I had a Diesel Pusher, then absolutely would go 4! JMO!

Have four and love it. No storage loss but you do need to pull one slide in if you want full use of the awning .

We have 4. Could live w/ 3 loosing the curbside front. Not due to patio though as our curbsides are not as deep as the roadsides. The reason is the co-pilot seat cannot recline with the slide in. We move it all the way forward so it will recline a bit more. We do alot more driving than parking so we would of prefered 3 as you do seem to have a bit more room w/slides in. I wouldn't let fear of leaks be a factor. MHO

Or maybe the storage bays could come out with the slide????? I don't find it hard to get into and out if my curb side storage bays...
