Can someone tell me the brand, model, and location of the factory installed inverter in the 2006 jaycos?

Also what outlets/appliances does it power?

Thank you.

Not sure about your MH, but our 2007 Jayco Seneca has a Xanterra 400 watt inverter installed on the floor under the bedroom closet. It powers only the entertainment center outlets and is, IMO, too small to do the job. We are on our fourth attempt, via our dealer, to get one that works. Thank goodness for Jayco's 2 year warranty.

Our '08 Jayco Melbourne has a Xanterra 400 watt also, and it controls the same things as mentioned in the previous post.

I have a 2006 27DS, and the Xantrex 400 watt inverter is located next to the water heater. You have to remove the large pull out drawer that is located under the closet. It is wired only to the plugs that are up front at your TV and DVD station. I've thought about having additional wiring installed at the TV location in the bedroom--should be an easy install.

The key to having a successfull TV situation up front is to replace the 14" flat tube with a newer LCD--otherwise, you will have to fire up the generator before turning on the inverter for the TV, then shutting the generator down once the TV comes on-?!-

Also--check on the IOTA converter next to the inverter--make sure it has the (2) 30 amp fuses showing at the one end of the case--if not, the RV dealers have a bulliten out from JAYCO to upgrade the fuses from the 25 amp to 30 amp (I did mine myself). If the fuses blow, you'll not get converted power from the generator to recharge your battery set.

I sure like my 27DS--hope you'll enjoy yours as much!

I wonder if this has been the problem with mine? Is this because of a high inrush current when the TV is turned on? I've been suspecting this and wondering if a larger capacity inverter would be the answer.
