If you fill your tank, no problem, but if you take extra containers, they will fine you and impound your car till the fine is paid...70% of the value of the diesel. Here's a link...someone make it clickable...

Been to Mexico several times, have never seen Mexican custom checking the cars.
Did they follow their neighbor example and raise national security level?

Now if the US would follow suit and start charging and fining those same people for tax evasion, then it would put a stop to this bootleg of diesel fuel. I applaud the Mexican government for taking action.

Mexican filling stations near the U.S. border have seen an increase in American drivers who cross over to fill up. Mexican truckers and drivers complain the run on fuel is causing temporary shortages and longer lines for them.

Maybe we can learn something from them regarding our own issues. It's interesting that once we became a burden to the Mexicans, they did something to put a stop to it. Interesting concept, isn't it?

I'm still trying to figure out something they have done anything about, over the last eight years, to benefit us that is.

If memory serves me correctly when POSTED signs are out on property you have the right to shoot. Why not just put POSTED signs along the border? Every Texan has at least 1 gun....it wouldn't take too much to stop illegals from crossing the border if they realized this.

So following your logic, states should fine people for tax evasion who don't buy fuel in their high tax state because they bought fuel earlier in an ajoining lower tax state while passing thru?

Nice plan, but most of the currant "Texans" ARE from Mexico. Remember, these are the same "Texans" that are fighting to keep the fence from being built in the first place.
