The drivers chair has begun to sag on our old coach and was looking to replace both of them. Is there a big difference between the Flexsteel brand and these sold by discountvantruck
Does anyone have any experience with their product?

pkunk,I bought and installed the DeLeon model from them last April. After driving approx. 8,000 miles, I still feel these seats are a good seat for the money. I sat in a $400.00 Flexsteel seat that Camping World had on sale when I first started looking for new seats two years ago, first of all it was a cloth seat instead of the ultraleather and the bolstered seat was not very supportive. I took a testimonial from another forum member and decided to try the Deleon's to haul my 6'-2", 270# butt down the road.
I'm pretty sure that Flexsteel makes seats to satisfy the coach manufacturers spec's, meaning the Flex Steel seats in Country Coach is going to be a much higher grade than a Flex Steel seat in a Damon Astoria ( no insult to the Astoria ).

You should probably check the surplus houses. I bought mine from a surplus house in OH. 200 bucks a piece for MasterCraft Ultrleather chairs. They are very comfortable, more comfortable than the Flexsteel I took out, and more comfortable than the newer Flexsteel Ultraleather chairs. They do not appear to be as fancy as Flexsteel, but have held up very well. I have about 50K miles on them and they are still good.

I don't have a RV surplus anywhere near me.
Jer, what is the advantage of the ultraleather? We thought to stay with fabric as we think (dangerous, huh?) it is cooler & more comfortable in hot weather.
We have real leather in the Mercedes and it's hot & sticky in the summer and cold in winter. So there we use velour seatcovers.

Not mine. Maybe on the MB econobox.

As mentioned, the ultraleather is not real leather, more like a naugahyde that is soft and supple. We don't have a problem with heat or cold, and when you wear shorts your legs don't sweat and stick to the seats.

Ultraleather is Polyurethane (not vinyl). It is much thinner than real leather and therefore much softer. Polyurethane is a very tough material and wears very well. Polyurethane is also very hygroscopic (absorbs water), so you tend not to stick to it when its hot. Most prefer Ultraleather to real leather for comfort.

We purchased our used 02 Winnebago in Feb. 06. According to the sticker that was in the bag with the manuals, our captain's chairs are Ultraleather. But I am confused by your statement because when it is hot, we stick to our chairs. We are thinking about changing out our chairs for this reason but now I don't know if it will do any good to purchase Ultraleather.

I just installed a pair of the Discount Van and Truck De Leon ultra leather chairs yesterday in my Class A. I replaced the original 1994 chairs that were pretty beat down, hard and wore me out on my last long trip.
I am leaving Saturday for a 10 day, 2200 mile road trip to Bristol for the Nascar races week after next. I will post my review of the seats after they have some butt time in them when I return.
I paid $768.00 total with delivery to Texas for the pair. Took about 10 minutes to install in the motorhome. They are shipped with one of the armrest uninstalled and it takes about 5 minutes each to put them on. I can help with that if you decide on the Discount Van and Truck seats. They did not come with any instructions on installing the armrest. It takes about 3 weeks for delivery. I ordered on 7/18 and received them on 8/9. They had promised them by 8/12.
Overall they seem to be a quality item and the workmanship looks good.
PM me if you have any questions.
Michael
