The inside of our MH is always clean - always. The outside gets cleaned when we return from a trip. Then it goes to uncovered storage and survives until we go get it again. We don't worry about dings or scratches too much, we bought it to use it in the wilderness and to travel gravel roads. If we tried to keep the outside perfect, we wouldn't be able to go where we do. But, a dirty awning? I wouldn't roll it out because I couldn't sit under it.

Why not donate them, sell them before they loose all their value. I don't get it.
Maybe they didn't buy them so they would keep their value. I keep mine clean but I don't judge others for keeping theirs the way they want to keep it. If that's what they want to do I say as long as they are happpy - good for them. It is a waste is all. So they bought them to just rot, leak, and grow grass/trees all over is that it? No, not cool as long as they are happy, especially if it looks like poo and trashy and brings others property values down. Sorry
Well I have a different outlook is all. I don't judge people for how clean they keep their stuff or how they like to spend their money. I don't figure it's my place to stick my nose in someone else's personal property. I guess my attitude comes from spending most of my adult life in the military defending our individual right to freedom.
If it's bringing your property value down and their is a local ordinance that addresses it then take it to the appropriate authority and let them enforce it. If they bought it to let it sit and not use it, what right does anyone have to tell them they are wasting it?
This is really getting off the topic, so let's either end this or take it to the private message arena.

We keep ours clean enough. The inside is always well cleaned. After all, one of the main reason we bought it was so we didn't have to stay in germy hotel rooms.
As far as the outside, we do what we can. Given that DH works and we have to park it at a storage lot, it isn't always easy. We try to wash/wax one side a month. Does it alway get done? No. Is it going to put a damper on a trip if there are a few black streaks or spots on the awning? No, we probably wouldn't give it a second thought. We own the RV, it doesn't own us. And we got it to use, not to sit around and admire how nice it looks.
So while we do our best, we don't sweat it if it's not perfect. Life's too short. As someone else said, it's just gonna get dirty again.

I do care about people who are polluting our world with their "right" to own stuff just so they can feel "rich". You don't know where I am coming from however you replied to my opinion, but who are you to JUDGE me?
We could go private from THIS post forward, but I am done.

I'm lucky. We have our TT parked @ our house.I clean the awning and the outside of the TT about 2 days before we leave on a trip. And we clean the inside everytime we get back from a trip.Ofcourse this method works for us.And I always try and keep my campsite clean. The DW says she doesn't understand why I wash and clean the TT and TV just before we go,because its only going to get dirty going down the road.Guess its a man thing.

Have you ever noticed how nicely they mow the golf course grass? Jeeves keeps the inside and outside of our RV nice and clean. We think that is the only way to go.

I'm a 52 year old single guy with two cats-my rv is my home, and I keep it spotless! I like having clean carpet, a made bed and fresh indoor air. I wash and wax the exterior, with waxing at least twice a year. I even put tire shine on the tires, under their sun-covers, even! What amazes me, is the number of folks I know that will spend a grand on their refrigerator and wipe it down daily or weekly, yet they will spend 25k on a car, or more on an rv and never even wash the brake dust off the wheels..

We always wash the brake dust off our wheels and our tires shine like the stars. I know what you mean catman. Our cat Chewbacca is our first mate and we never RV without him.
