Just returning from vacation and now planning for the school year. I am a preschool program director and teacher.
I currently own a HP PSC 1350 printer(printer, scanner and copier).
It works just fine except for labels. I have checked the HP support website and others have also experienced problems (slippage, off-set problems) and there is currently no solution
I regularly use return address and regular address labels for our preschool.
I need a printer that will print labels without slippage. I usually use either Avery labels or Office Depot brand.
Can anyone recommend a printer that actually prints labels the way they should be printed?
Thanks.

I believe Avery has call in customer support as well as on line. We run a club that requires us to print labels, and have the same model of HP as you. We just set it up with the program supplied with the printer, and used Avery support. The program promps us by asking us to choose the label by the part number on the package, and usually prints out fine. We always seem to use up one sheet trying to get it to print the labels just right, so now the first print is done on a blank piece of paper, and if it matches up to the labels, we load up tne label sheets.

Well.. I use a pair of printers one is an HP Photosmart 7450 (about 5 years old or more) the other is a Canon IP4300
Both work well
Advantage CANON: In "home" grade printers, only EPSON sells one in the US which can print to "print-on" CD's and DVD's. And, well, the only epson Ink Jet I used soured me on epsons.
The IP4300 however, if purchased in the US does not do CD's.
If purchased in the UK it does
SAME EXACT PRINTER
An E-bay retailler has the "kit" (missing part, also known as CD tray) and the instructions for telling the printer it's a UK model
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

Ford.....
Thanks. I use an old Print Shop program. The labels printed well with previous printers. I usually print only a few labels at a time, not the whole page. Hence, my problem.
Anyone else print labels?

inkjet printers are nearly disposable. cartridge refills cost more than the printer itself on sale.
to successfully print labels 100% of the time, no printer will do it, but better reliable can be had with printers that keep the sheet flat. There is a small designated label printer, not sure who makes it, and it does nothing but return address labels.
ps.....maybe it is time to upgrade that old Print Shop program too :-)

For slippage, you may need to clean your feed rollers. I see you live in Texas, dust can make them slippery if you don't keep your printer covered between uses.
Do a Google, or a search on HP's site and you will find more info.

We had a similar need to not print out a whole sheet of labels. Did a google search and found a website that had MS Word templates, e.g. Avery 5161, 5162, etc. They're nice because a whole sheet of labels is shown, and you can type on your first available label if some are already used. It's WYSIWYG, so that's convenient. But sorry, I forget what site I downloaded these templates from. Our HP psc1210 almost always prints them out perfectly, but like a previous poster said, we always use a sheet of paper first, just to be safe.

Go to Avery and download Avery Wizard. Works with MS Word. Other free software also on site.
I have a HP Deskjet 932C but need to feed one sheet at a time otherwise it grabs multiple sheets.

I use the Avery Design Pro program that's available for download from their site.
Works well with either of my HP printers, 1210 and 2355.

Here is what a buddy of mine who owns a small grocery store ended up with and he's quite happy with it. Small footprint and as he says "It does one thing very well."
