I was intrested in purchasing a shamrock. I would like to hear some opinions from shamrock owners.

Start reading!

The Roo and Shamrock are identical twin sisters wearing different lipstick (exterior graphics), so any comments on the Roo are applicable to the Shamrock as well.

You'll find after reading this forum that Rockwood is a well loved brand. When I found this forum I was looking for a HTT and wasn't pursuing the Rockwood brand. However I did end up buying one.

When we camp, it's DH & me mostly. Occasionally step-daughter (16) comes, though not necessarily her choice

i returned your pm.

we loved our Roo! we are constantly wanting to go camping since we got
it, unlike our old popup which we grew to dislike.
but we liked Starcraft and Jayco. but they didn't have any floorplans that had any counterspace. nor did they have the variety that the Roo/Shamrock line had.
if Jayco does have new floorplans like the 21SS/23SS, then they would be a equal contender to the Roo/Shamrock.
we also liked the Palomino Stampede but couldn't find a dealer in the state.

One other difference between the Forest River Flagstaff Shamrock and the Forest River Rockwood Roo up until 2009 (and am not sure for 2009, but know for 2008) is that the "canvas" part of the bunkends is a darker tan on the Shamrock than the Roo including the difference on the bunktop itself. It's noticeable. It is up to one to judge their feelings on it but it is (was) noticeable.

We have a 2009 Flagstaff Shamrock 233. It is the same as the 2009 Rockwood Roo 233. They are both made by Forest River. If you compare the brochures, you will find that they are almost identical. Some color differences and some of the options on the Roo are standard on the Shamrock.

Yep, Shamrock and Roos are identical twins dressed in different clothes.

Our 21SS suits us so well we question why we didn't upgrade sooner...
