I did a search but cannot find the answer to flipping axels. I have a new F450, I don't have the hitch yet but I am guessing I will have to raise my Wildcat. Within 11 months I am getting a Carri-Lite but want to safely pull the old fiver till I get the new one.

Flipping the axles is simply mounting the springs on top of the axles.
This assumes that the springs are mounted under the axles at the factory.

It also involves welding new saddles on the axles.

It also makes the steps to short, as they get higher.

Since you "don't have the hitch yet" - why not wait until you do?
Maybe you won't need to change the spring mounts with spacers (or?).

Remove axles, old shackles, weld steel tubing to the frame, new shackles and reinstall axles. Tubing should be the same width as the frame and a depth to match the amount of lift you want, wall thickness of 1/4" should do the job.

I will wait till I get the hitch installed in my new truck to see exactly how I match up.
I could not remember what needed to be done to raise the fiver.

Since the spring is already on top of the axel then lift blocks from the local 4X4 shop should do nicely.
I don't get lost, I investigate alternative destinations.
