I am changing my temp sensor since I am getting false reads.
In the pic below, I thought the temp sensor is what I circled in red. But I disconnected the wire when the engine was running, to see if the gauge would not register. But when I disconnected the wire the temp gauge stayed the same. So I am guessing this is not the temp sensor.
I called Monoco and Cummis and neither knew where the sensor would be. Can anyone tell me where the temp sensor is on a 94 Cummins B-Series, so I can get the new gauge put in?

I had one exactly where you show in picture ,I installed it for a separate temp gauge. there also is one I think on the rear of the head .That works the stock gauge and light. Mine was on a pickup so it could be somewhere else. But check the head on rear.
I checked the rear of the head and did not find one. Where else could it be??? You would think they are trying to be like Japanese motors where they play hide and go seek with components.
jim, that could be a low coolant sensor. My Spartan has it on the Radiator tank for low coolant. temp sensors should be on the head or coolant manifold somewhere attached to head on most all cummins .tcr ,did you look on the sides also of head,if no others are on eng. it would have to be the one in picture.
