Hi, all, going to Wells RV Sept 6-11. We'll have our bulldog with us (he is still adjusting to RVing so we are not yet leaving him alone) so looking for casual places with outdoor seating that allow dogs or good takout places. Thanks!

Not too sure how close to Wells this is, but it is not all that far. Just south of Portland is a place called Two Lights, there is also a Two Lights State Park off the same road. You follow that to the end of the road, and right there under the shadows of two light houses is a wonderful outdoor seafood place right on top of the beach. I highly recmommend the whole fried clams!!

Thank you. Just checked it out. Very pretty. About 45 minutes away. Maybe we will go if you want to take a ride one day.

I'll second Two Lights. For takeout, in Wells you have the Maine Diner, an absolute must.

We were in Wells for a couple of weeks. Try Varanos Italian on Mile Rd. They have a patio not sure if they permit dogs, but they have great food. The Maine Diner on rte 1 has take out and is very good at a fair price. We didn't take Zeus to diner with us there, but if you get up to Bar Harbor many places are dog friendly.

Try Jake's on Route one just South of the Moody Post Office.
There is Ice Cream take out just North of the Post Office.

Enjoy

Stop by Flo's and get a hotdog loaded with their "secret sauce". The place is nothing more than a shack but the hotdogs are good.
