Looking to buy a brand new 2008 Eagle 31.5 BHDS. Any concerns or problem with this unit? Thanks for your help.

We purchased a 2008 Eagle 291 (BLDS I think)in June. We have had it out for four weekends and have had no problems with the unit. Jayco builds a solid medium priced RV. Be sure your dealer provides good support. There are often minor and rarely a major warranty issue and the dealer is the key to a satisfactory resolution and correction. This is our second Jayco and both have been very satisfactory.

I too am looking at new 5th wheeler's, wanting to get a newer/nicer one. The Jayco Eagle is #1 on my list as of now. In looking at the construction, insulation factors, fit and finish, 16 inch wheels, etc, I think it's one of the better buys for the dollar if not the best. Jayco has a good long standing reputation and a good warranty. Of course I would prefer the Designer but they get a little above my budget.
There should be plenty of Eagle owners out there for some feed back. I'm sure there will be some who will have some negative expeeriences too, always is with any brand, I believe the majority will be positive.

I'll add that I am now on our very first 5er, which is basically the same floor plan as yours will be. I've only had 3 warranty issues in the 7 Jayco's we've had, all minor and all handled by the appliance manufacturers(in our case) the power convertor(replaced out of warranty by Iota!), the Norcold (replaced by Norcold), and a leaking fitting on the PEX water pipe (repaired by dealer). Great company, wonderful family ownership, 40 years and 500,000 rv's later they are still going strong! Best of luck!

We have the 2007 31.5BHDS (still called Jayflight then). The only issue I have is a slight leak from the shower enclosure, that I believe just needs to be caulked. Other than that it has been a great unit. It is our second Jayco, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Basement storage is limited though, compared to other makes.

two days ago we looked at them .... the 31.5BHDS is a Eagle Super Lite .... must say we were impressed by many features .... it really seems to be a well made unit that offers good value for the money .... for us the only two negatives were the location of the TV makes it hard to see from the couch and (for us this disqualified it as one we would consider) it has a very small basement storage area

We have an 08 Jayco 31.5FBHS. So far, we are very satisfied and have no serious complaints so far except as someone mentioned outside storage is limited. We are having a minor leak problem in the shower area when taking a shower, but we have not been able to determine exactly what is causing the leak, so we may have to carry it back to the dealer if it is something that can't be easily fixed. Oh, one thing I failed to mention, the Carefree electric awning which comes on this model Jayco is convenient, but it is kind of a pain since the slope of the awning cannot be adjusted to prevent rainwater collecting on the awning unlike the higher end Carefree Eclipse awning which is adjustable. However, the cheaper Carefree non-adjustable awning seems to be installed on some of the other lower cost rvs also, so this is not a issue unique to Jayco.

I have the 07 Eagle 325BHS and am really impressed with the fit and finish of the Eagles. I just got back from 4 days at the KOA in Great Falls MT and had the chance to check out other newer 5th wheels both inside and out and am more impressed with the quality of the Eagles and at a lot less money.
