In a nutshell I usually keep my TT at the CG. I havent towed it yet. Now I find myself needing to take the TT home this winter. I live 53 miles on somewhat flat ground away from the CG. I have a 32FKS it is fairly empty really. The tanks will be drained dry. (except propane). The placard says 7500#s empty (Im thinking maybe 8000#s really) and I really need to get it home with my 4.7 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have coil-over helpers, 3:73, trans cooler, big radiator, 4wheel disc/anti-lock brakes. Brake controller, WD bars, and 2 friction sways (I used to tow all the time, but havent for several years now--I kept the hitch stuff). I can tow this during NON-BUSY times and stay mostly on back roads. I use this Jeep to tow the firebird to the track a few times a month it handles that perfect. (I know the TT is at least twice heavier than the Firebird)
****Would anyone attempt doing what I plan to? Seriously I will tow it home and back 1 time and probably not anymore.****

Wow. That trailer will be WAY too much for the Jeep - but if it were me, for that one time, I might try it too. You'll unload your gear & personal stuff from it too, won't you? Sounds like you have the right idea about slow & easy; definitely back roads sounds like a better idea than any interstate driving.
Any chance you've got a friend with a bigger truck that you can get to help you?
Hire someone to tow it back for you. I believe once you got the TT hooked up to the Jeep and got into a few curves or hills, believe you'd have a hard time getting some of your drivers seat out of your..uh..backside...Have to agree that it's too much for your Jeep, even for one trip.

Not sure where you are in MO but the parts I saw were rather hilly and that would make for tough towing. I second the idea of a friend with a proper truck.
