I noticed my RPM gauge on my truck was off the other day. I was towing my camper and noticed that the RPM's were reading at least 1200RPM higher than it should be. The truck wasn't actually running that high, but the gauge was reading high? I turned the truck off, the tach was reading 1000RPM's with the truck off? Somehow in the last few days, this fixed itself, started happening again, but now fixed itself again? Any clue whats going on?

GM gage clusters have a history of problems. Check with a dealer to see if you might still be covered under warranty.

They have been placed on extended warranty 7years/70,000miles.
The dealer will replace whole panel.

I agree with gauge problems. Our 2005 silverado was replaced with just 3,000 miles on it.
