Well, we just got my son's football game schedule, and unless something changes, we scored a "Bye" week for columbus day weekend, so that means the rest of the family will be able to join me for the weekend of the rally. YAY! Of course, now that cancels out my "Girls" weekend for the friends who were going to come with me if everyone else couldn't make it.

Karen, do both, I'm sure Mark wouldn't mind.

He could be Hugh Hefner for Halloween. Do your friends have bunny outfits?

I'm all bummed out! Won't be quite the same, we are certainly going to miss you guy's!

With two extra sites and now with Hutch & Celia's that makes three empty sites, so as Gerry would say...... "I guess it's time to get some fresh meat!" lol

Again sorry to hear you can't make this one.

Hutch, so sorry you and Celia can't attend, we'll all miss you.

Okay, anybody want to step up for the Friday hamburger/hot dog cooking? I don't mind cooking, but my grill I travel with is too small. Also, we'll need hamburgers/hotdogs/rolls/condiments contributions. Nancy and I should be getting in Friday noon, so we'll set up what we can. I don't have a canopy/EZup though...anyone getting in early Friday with one?

I could just deep fry (oh my cholesterol) our Friday night cookout...wings or chicken tenders/fries/shrimp/poppers/onion rings...may be easier...could fry up whatever anyone brings/likes.

Some good news is there could be a Captain Ray/Elaine appearance at the rally, maybe a day late but always welcome...hope they can make it.

Thinking of the deep frying only instead of grilling and frying...a popular sampler platter around here has a couple chicken fingers, a couple onion rings, a couple mozarella sticks, a couple mushrooms and some fries with dipping sauces...maybe that could be an option?

Would be easy for me to put together ahead of time, just dump them out of the plastic bag into the two fryer baskets as needed...maybe six minutes of cooking time required...and I should have freezer room.

I probably would use prepared frozen french fries though, not fresh cut...you need everything to fry for around the same length of time.
