We stayed at Countryside Campgnd on Rt 43 In Suffield,Ohio
The seasonal camper trailers had old rusty tanks and 50 gallon drums in the grnd by their trailers that the raw sewage was draining into
We wondered how safe that made the drinking water

Nothing like the smell of raw sewage in the morning. Sounds like a pleasant place camp. Bet the flowers there were six feet high.

Please post a review on www.rvparkreviews.com to warn others. We use that site when making travel plans and so do others. These are the things people want to know before pulling into a CG.

Have any forum members actually stayed at this campground? Their website shows full hookups and it seems like a nice place to stay. I've never been there but would like another opinion of the place.

Hard to imagine the health department would allow something as gross as this to happen.

I've been in a few Ohio CGs where the health dept allowed gray water to be discharged into dry wells similar to what you're describing.

One place we had a park model in Port Clinton, Willow Cove Marina and CG, had 30 gallon drums with holes punched in it buried and filled with gravel as a dry well for gray water. All 40 units had the same sysem and the Health dept. would come around once every few years to inspect them. Poopers had to be pumped out or blue boyed to the septic.

Really, what's the big deal about that because if you wash your car you get a lot more soap in the storm drain than 20 showers could put out.
