Interesting comment on the Sombra ferry. I have not gone that way in years and recall that ferry as carrying about 6 cars. I try that if we hit a long line to Port Huron.
Canadian fuel cost should not be an issue as you can cross southern Ontario on less than a tank.
They have two ferry's that they use. The smallest will carry at least a semi or two, plus several cars. The larger one will carry a lot more. Sorry but I don't know what the cost is for an RV, it depends on size, but here is their website.
We are heading to Novi, MI area, and our exit is off of 96W, so we don't need to go as far north as Flint. We appreciate your opinion as to the best route north from Toledo - 75/275 or 23. Thanks.
