Does anyone run their inverter while on the road? There are certain programmable appliances that I would like to keep powered.

Sure, as long as the alternater and inverter can keep up there's no reason not to. I used to power my fridge that way.

Our inverter runs 24/7, on the road, off the road or just sitting at home plugged in. It makes a great UPS for my business computer.

It may be different in a trailer, but in my MH it stays on all the time.

We run ours 24/7, 365 for several years. We have no reason to turn it off.
