We bought from our local dealer in Co. took delivery end of March and to date couldn't be happier with both the dealer and Heartland for the few minor problems we had

We are owners of a 2008 Bighorn model 3400RE which we are most happy with. After four trips with it we haven't had any problems with it at all. Nothing wrong with anything, nothing broke, nothing fell off the walls and it pulled very easily.
We are most happy with our dealership, too. This is the second 5er we have purchased from them and the second time we have been happy with them.
If you do purchase one of the Heartland products and you have any problems with your dealership, just contact Heartland and I'm sure they will do all they can to satisfy your needs.

We are very happy with our 3400rl 2008 Bighorn. We are full timing in it and have had a few problems but Heartland has been outstanding in their customer support!

Figure out what you want and then get bids from several online dealers. Lakeshore was sctually the highest bid we got online, so we went with another online dealer. We got 37 percent off the list price.

WOW! Thanks to everyone for your great replies.

I have visited the Heartland website and it is very informative.

Now I have a few specific comments and more questions of course:

jwcgc29 - mind if I ask what dealer you considered? and what year you were looking? Did you buy the Cameo instead?

Cubbyfan - when did you buy and from whom? what did you end up with?

kakampers - thanks for the perspective early start-up problems

bpmills - What truck to you tow with?

davelinde - It was your 305 unit in your sig that got me looking. It was regarding pin weights in another post.

bj'sdad - I stumbled onto that sight but it didnt register where they were. I was just looking for general information rather than a dealer.

Rough2000 - thanks for the competitive link. Always nice to have a choice.

kakampers - sorry to hear about a bad experience. Hope all is better now.

Obscure person - What truck to you tow with? Buying a second rig from the same dealer says alot.

keyhole51walleye - was that 37% off the list with all options? Thanks for the tip on Lakeshore and the discount.

Our first RV (after tenting) was our present 2001 30' SunnyBrook and we have only had a couple very minor problems. I replaced the shower faucet last trip to Pigeon Forge 2007 ($11.00 in about 45 seconds flat - wife and I still laugh about how simple it was) and the bathroom sink faucet 'O' rings came out of their seat. I just put them back correctly and havent had a problem since. I suspect the handle came loose and allowed them to work free - they were still in the faucet, but not in their proper position. These both are nothing more than normal wear and tear items.

My point is like some it has never seen the dealer or mfg since we picked it up. Pricewise we knew when we looked at Sunnybrook it seemed like more rig than others offered. We considered Montana, Wildcat (mainly for price) and a few others. When we were ready to buy we ordered based on the dealers suggestions. When we wanted a couple more options, he said you can add what you want at my cost and handed us his price sheet with both prices listed side by side. We didnt add much but felt really good about it. Never regretted one thing.

Second best scenario would be to have the best dealer when needing aftermarket service.

Im sure we all hope it never needs the manufacturers assistance.

The general concensus on Heartland and their dealers seems positive. Perhaps the dealers are seeing better quality and as a result viewing this manufacturer as a favorable product line to carry.

I see many very nice features and they seem very well thought out and proud of their products. If I can do nearly as good with our next purchase, Ill be very happy.

Thanks to all for your feedback.

We just purchased a Sundance 3200ES from Northgate RV's in Ringgold, Ga. They also have dealerships in Alcoa Tn, and Hixson, Tn. We are really impressed with the Fiver and can't wait until we pick it up tomorrow. Everything from the manuf. to the sales team has been a pleasure.

I need to update my sig... the 305 will be sold on Friday if all goes well. The Heartland is a LOT bigger...

We just purchased a Bighorn 3670RL and love it. We've had a couple of small problems, and one being worked on, but nothing major. We did our research on the price, be checking the Heartland Dealers area on their website, and calling to see if they had the model we wanted and their lowest price. I had to dealers pricing when I went to deal with our local dealer. The first offer was a "good deal" they said. Well I showed them the prices on the other two. Salesman went back to the Fiance Mgr. I told DW be ready to walk if it isn't close. Well they surprised us, and beat both of the other dealers by about $4K. They dropped the price about $10K with our trade in. So the moral is do your homework, have proof of other deals in hand and be ready to walk if the second offer isn't right.
