Hi Everyone! In 2 weeks we will be moving into our 5th wheel full time to do some travelling. We are hoping to go down to Mexico (Baja possibly) for some time in the winter. So was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where would be a good place with young kids and what it costs approx per night or if there are safe places to stay for free.. Thanks in advance for any advice!
The ages of the kids will have an affect on where you should choose to stay. We like San Filipe for weather and beach access. There are several good campgrounds in the area. Check them out in a good campground directory and pick one that has the type of recreation that your children will use and like. As to cost since everything is changing you need to call the campground of your choice. Check into the need for passports.
If you expect the RV parks in Baja Mexico to provide entertainment for you and the kids, you're going to be very disappointed! Most (if not all) of the parks are just that, places to park. They may provide some extras, like hookups, and WiFi, and if you're really lucky, a laundermat.
That said, there are some really nice ones that either are on the beach or are very near it. And, for most kids, a beach is enough to keep them occupied for a long time.
Pick up a copy of the Church's book on whatever part of Mexico you decide to visit for info on just about anything.
